WHDH’s Jess Cain

Jess Cain is one of America’s greatest radio talents. He began as a Broadway actor while appearing on TV’s Sergeant Bilko Show. While living in New York City he was Paul Newman’s roommate. Jess Cain came to Boston in 1957 to be a booth announcer for Channel 5, WHDH. In 1961, he began a 31 year run as WHDH Radio’s legendary morning man, He got many of his great drop-ins by listening to tapes of the late Bob Crane.
